Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy applies to the Donut Click Showdown Chrome extension (“Extension”) and the game services it uses. By using the Extension, you agree to this policy.

1. Data we collect and use

The Extension is a clicker game with a worldwide leaderboard. To provide that service, we use the following data:

2. Country detection

To suggest a default country, we may use your approximate location. This can be done via:

We do not store your IP address for longer than needed to get a country code. You can change or clear your country in the Extension at any time.

3. Where data is stored

Game and account data (username, country, clicks, best CPS, recovery code) are stored on servers operated by Supabase (our backend provider). Their processing is subject to their privacy policy and terms. Data is used only to run the leaderboard, daily challenges, achievements, and account recovery.

4. Local storage

The Extension uses your browser’s local storage to keep your profile, click counts, and preferences on your device. This data is not sent to us except as part of normal sync (e.g. to update your rank on our servers).

5. What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not use the Extension to read your browsing history, track you across websites, or inject ads. The Extension only requests the “sidePanel” permission so the game can open in Chrome’s side panel when you click the icon.

6. Data retention

We retain your game and account data for as long as your account exists. If you want your data removed, contact us (see Contact below) and we will process your request within a reasonable time.

7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and we will post the new version at this URL. Continued use of the Extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.

8. Contact

For privacy-related questions or to request deletion of your data, use the Contact page.
